Are you hung over? Soy bean sprouts soup is one of Koreans’ favorite hangover foods. It’s refreshing and soothing for your stomach. Soy bean sprouts contains Asparagin which helps with recovery from fatigues and hangovers.

Sourcing & Selecting

Korean grocery stores, Chinese grocery stores Do not confuse it with mung bean sprouts. Soybean sprouts have large yellow heads and stems are longer.
Mung Bean Sprouts are similar.
How to Measure: 
1 cup of soy bean sprouts (dry) = 30g = 0.4lb = 5oz
Refrigerate in a plastic bag (3 days). Do not wash before storage.

Remove tails.

Wash in cold water and drain water.

How do I blanch it?

Many recipes with bean sprouts requires blanching. First, boil water in a pot. (enough water so that all bean sprouts can be immersed in the water).

Put washed bean sprouts in the boiling water and wait for 2-3 min until they become soft.
